The Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee emphasized the good and friendly relations with the State of Israel and reiterated the condemnation of the brutal terrorist attack by Hamas on Israel on October 7, 2023, which left a global mark, reiterated the call for the unconditional release of the hostages and once again expressed solidarity with Israel and the Israeli the people. "Regarding the situation in the Middle East, we support those solutions that will produce a result from all responsible actors in the international community that will stop the conflict, revive the peace process and lead to a solution that will be the result of negotiations between the two sides," said Krstulović Opara.
Ambassador Koren thanked Croatia for its continuous support to Israel, as one of its strongest supporters, and expressed his desire to further strengthen inter-parliamentary cooperation through the joint work of foreign policy committees and friendship groups.
They also discussed the situation in Southeast Europe, cooperation within the European Union, and good cooperation in economic matters as well as in the field of culture was especially emphasized.
