Ambassador of Israel to Côte d'Ivoire, non-resident to Togo, Benin, and Burkina Faso

Ambassador Rony Yedidia Clein started her role as Ambassador to Côte d'Ivoire, Benin, Togo, and Burkina Faso in August 2022. With a distinguished diplomatic career spanning three decades, Ambassador Yedidia Clein brings a wealth of experience to her current post.
Her journey in diplomacy began in 1994, marked by significant assignments in various corners of the globe. From Istanbul to Moscow, Boston to London, she honed her skills and expertise, steadily ascending the ranks. Notably, she served as Deputy Chief of Mission and chargé d'affaires at the Israeli Embassy in India, Sri Lanka, and Bhutan before her current appointment.
Beyond her overseas postings, Ambassador Yedidia Clein has contributed significantly to Israel's diplomatic endeavors through roles at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs headquarters in Jerusalem. Additionally, she lent her expertise as a Foreign Policy Adviser to the Minister of Culture, further diversifying her portfolio.
Academically accomplished, Ambassador Yedidia Clein holds a bachelor's degree in English literature from Tel Aviv University, complemented by Master's degrees in American Studies and in Public Policy from the Hebrew University in Jerusalem.
She is married and resides in Abidjan with her husband, while their children reside across the globe, from Israel to California to Singapore.
