ASSAF BARUCHI

Meet Assaf Baruchi, a dynamic and driven young Israeli diplomat whose journey embodies a passion for diplomacy, cultural exchange, and building bridges between nations. With a background rooted in political science and a commitment to service, Assaf's trajectory in diplomacy has been both impressive and inspiring.

Assaf's educational journey began with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Yezreel Valley College in 2017, laying the groundwork for his future endeavors in international relations. Eager to expand his horizons, he embarked on a transformative experience at the University of Texas in Austin in 2017, where he served as the Israel Fellow for the Jewish Agency.  Following his time in the United States, Assaf brought his expertise back to Israel, where he spent nearly four years as the manager of the security team at Ben Gurion Airport.

Eager to explore deeper into the realm of international relations, Assaf seized the opportunity to enroll in the Diplomatic Cadet program at the Israel Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Here, he delved into the world of diplomacy, learning the nuances of negotiation, representation, and cultural diplomacy.

In August 2023, Assaf embarked on his latest adventure, assuming the role of Deputy Chief of Mission (DCM) at the Israeli Embassy in Cote d’Ivoire. In this capacity, he has embraced the opportunity to immerse himself in a new culture while championing Israel's values and heritage. Through his genuine connections and engaging demeanor, Assaf strives to foster meaningful relationships and showcase the richness of Israeli culture to the people of Cote d’Ivoire.

Beyond his professional pursuits, Assaf is a devoted family man, married and a father of two.
