Bilateral relations

The Consulate General of Israel to the Midwest has strong relationships with the nine states in our jurisdiction. We are proud that these nine states exported more than $15 billion in goods and services to Israel over the last 25+ years. Additionally, many of these states have demonstrated their steadfast support for Israel by adopting anti-BDS legislation and codifying the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance Working Definition of Antisemitism into their respective state laws.

Our Consulate also actively supports commercial delegations to or from Israel by facilitating meetings, events, and roundtables with relevant public, private, and nonprofit stakeholders in Israel or across the Midwest. We are especially proud that Midwest cities such as Chicago (Petah Tikvah), Highland Park (Yerucham), Indianapolis (Haifa), and West Des Moines (Mateh Asher) have formal sister city relationships with Israeli cities.
