Issuance of travel documents (passport) for citizens and residents of Israel

This service enables Israeli citizens and residents who are abroad to submit an application for a non-biometric Israeli travel document (passport)
Required Documents To Apply
Two recent photos (against a white background, with full front view of face, measuring 5x5 cm).
The travel document that is to be renewed.
A document proving Israeli citizenship – in case of an application for a first Israeli travel document.
Tip
- Issuing passports takes up to 28 business days from the time documents received at the consulate also if you visited in the consulate)
- If you sent a passport, please make sure with the shipping company that the envelope reached us using the tracking number you received.
- The passport always sent by registered mail to the address you gave us.
Tip
The old passport will be canceled and sent back with the new passport.

Required presence at the Consulate
If the application is for a first travel document, the applicant must appear in person at the mission.
If the application is for the renewal of an expired document, the application together with the required documents can be sent by mail to the mission in the country where the applicant is staying.
Please note
There is no need to schedule an appointment to renew your passport/travel document if you meet the following conditions:
- You have visited Israel within the last 10 years
- Your passport has not been lost/damaged/stolen
- You have no debts in Israel

- 2 recent passport photos (2X2 white background)

Please note
Minors under the age of 18 must attend at the consulate together with their parents in order to renew/extend a travel document
Please note
First passport as an Adult (even if you received passport as a minor) must attend at the consulate.

Please note:
A passport issued abroad is a regular passport (not biometric)
and is issued for a period of up to 5 years only.
Therefore, if you have a passport that is valid for more than 5 years
it cannot be extended, and you must submit an application for passport renewal (A NEW PASSPORT !!!)

The applicant must arrive with all the documents to the Israeli mission in the country of residence..

The application with all the accompanying documents can be sent by mail, according to the instructions on the website of the mission.

Please note: 
When sending by mail, you must send the original documents and keep photocopies.
To visit the mission, it is necessary to schedule an appointment in advance.
