A memorial event at the Israeli Embassy in Cameroon to remember the victims of the massacre of October 7, 2023 and the 101 hostages still held in Gaza by Hamas.
The event held in the embassy garden was attended by government officials, media culture, Shalom Club, as well as ambassadors and diplomats. The ceremony included the speech of Ambassador AMNON KALMAR, a short film produced by the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the singing of the Cameroonian youth choir MBOA who sang the Cameroonian and Israeli anthem HATIKVA and also sang the Israeli song in Hebrew ELI ELI. In addition to the ceremony, there was a photo exhibition courtesy of the Israeli photographers: Ziv Koren, Micha Brikman and Sasha Gusov. The photographs demonstrated the destruction and killing carried out by Hamas terrorists.
At the exhibition, a corner was dedicated where burned tiles from Kibbutz BEERI were displayed. Many participants lit a memorial candle next to the tiles as well as wearing the yellow pin for the return of the hostages.
