The Iranian-Backed Lebanese Terror Organization
All of Hezbollah's terrorist activities are documented on this website that you can consult: https://govextra.gov.il/foreign-affairs/hezbollah-atrocities/home/
Hezbollah's Flagrant Violations of U.N. Resolutions and Assaults on Israel Since 7 October.
Since 8 October, Hezbollah has flagrantly and systematically violated U.N. Security Council Resolutions 1701 and 1559, initiating an unprovoked and relentless war against Israel. This campaign of aggression has seen Hezbollah launch over 6,000 missiles and rockets, deploy hundreds of attack drones, and conduct terrorist operations, including attempts by terrorist squads to infiltrate sovereign Israeli territory.
These brutal attacks have tragically resulted in the deaths of more than 30 individuals (among them more than 10 children) and inflicted injury on hundreds more, forcing the displacement of over 60,000 civilians. Families have been torn from their homes, which, along with significant agricultural and property damage, has wreaked havoc on the local economy and destabilized the region.
Hezbollah As Iran's Primary Proxy
Hezbollah's activities as Iran's foremost proxy necessitate stringent sanctions on Iran to curb its belligerence. Only decisive international pressure on Iran can compel the cessation of Hezbollah’s aggressive actions and ensure compliance with U.N. Security Council Resolution 1701. Without a firm directive from its Iranian sponsors, Hezbollah will continue to pose a multi-front threat, disregarding diplomatic efforts aimed at de-escalation. Immediate and significant sanctions are essential to restrain Hezbollah and prevent the further escalation of conflict.
The Brutal Rocket Attack on Majdal Shams
Following months of missiles and rockets fired at civilian houses and infrastructure, On 27 July 2024, a missile fired by Hezbollah at the Druze village of Majdal Shams hit a soccer field, murdering 12 children while they were playing soccer, and injuring many others. Hezbollah does not distinguish between Jews and non-Jews, and its goal is to kill Israeli citizens whoever they are. While Hezbollah attempted to deny its responsibility for the attack, irrefutable evidence links Hezbollah directly to the massacre: the rocket was launched from a Hezbollah-held area north of the village of Chebaa in southern Lebanon, and the rocket used was an Iranian rocket when the only entity in Lebanon to have it in its arsenal is Hezbollah.
This is not an army fighting another army; rather it is a terrorist organization deliberately shooting at civilians, regardless of their age, gender, religion or ethnicity, simply for being Israeli.
