Ambassador Sfari began with a meeting with the head of the "Vasil Levski" National Military University, Brigadier General Ivan Malamov, who briefed Ambassador Sfari on the University's activities and personally introduced him to the educational facilities and the specialties offered. During the meeting, opportunities for bilateral academic cooperation were discussed.
The visit continued with a meeting with the rector of the University of Veliko Tarnovo "St. Cyril and St. Methodius," Prof. Dr. Dimitar Dimitrov. The rector welcomed Ambassador Sfari, and the two discussed issues related to the development of education, science, and culture.
As part of his visit, he also met with the Mayor of Veliko Tarnovo Municipality, Dr. Eng. Daniel Panov, where they discussed opportunities for cooperation and the exchange of experience in various fields between the municipality and Israel 🇮🇱.
A significant highlight of Ambassador Sfari's visit to the historic city was his participation in the regular meeting of the Council of Rectors, where he was invited by the chairperson of the Council, Prof. Miglena Temelkova. Specific areas of cooperation between higher education institutions in both countries, exchange of expert knowledge, best practices, and joint projects were discussed.
