Application by a foreign national born in Israel to receive a "Confirmation of Birth" certificate

This service enables foreign nationals born in Israel to obtain a birth certificate in Hebrew and in English for themselves or for their family members.
Required Documents To Apply
Photocopy of mother's passport.
Original copy of the "Live Birth" certificate received at the time of birth.
A power of attorney or court order - When the application is submitted by someone other than the applicant
Required presence at the Consulate
The applicant is not required to appear in person at the mission.

Where the application is submitted by a spouse or a first-degree relative or an attorney holding a power of attorney, they must appear in person at the mission.

This service is available to foreign nationals born in Israel.

How to apply

By email – the documents listed above should be scanned and attached to the application, which should be sent to an Israeli mission in the country where the applicant is staying.

By mail – according to the instructions appearing on the Ministry's website.

Schedule an appointmet

To visit the mission, it is necessary to schedule an appointment in advance.

Before coming to the mission, make sure you have with you all the required documents and completed forms.

No fee is charged for this service.

In cases where attendance is required, an appointment must be made in the appointment system.

Appointment scheduling software will allow you to determine in advance the time of arrival at the embassy and the type of service requested. This will allow the embassy staff to prepare in advance and ensure courteous, efficient and quick treatment.

Please note that:
1. An appointment must be made for each person who arrives (in the case of families - for each member of the family).
2. The visitor's name must be written in foreign letters only (as written in the passport).

Security instructions for those arriving at the embassy:

 

Must arrive after scheduling an appointment in advance only.

You must arrive equipped with an ID card (for Israelis) or a passport, the required documents and means of payment.

It should be taken into account that all visitors will be asked to go through a security check along with their belongings.

For security reasons, it will not be possible to bring personal items into the embassy, including handbags, and electronic devices.

Do not come to the embassy with large handbags and/or luggage.

Do not come to the embassy with food and/or bottles or drinking vessels (There is a water in the consular waiting room).

The embassy's security guidelines will apply to those staying in the consular waiting room.

The instructions of the embassy's security team must be obeyed at all times.
