The consular department at the Embassy of Israel in Berlin provides many and varied services in the consular fields to the general public.

 

The department includes 7 employees headed by the consul.

 

Services include:

  • Travel documents for Israeli citizens - issuance, extension.
  • Updating records at the Population Authority (birth, marriage, divorce, death).
  • Production of official certificates.
  • Entry visas to Israel (visas) - for foreign citizens, diplomats and representatives of international organizations.
  • Notary services - declarations, signature verifications, verification of original documents.
  • Aid to Israeli citizens in need.
  • The Israeli House - strengthening the relationship with Israeli citizens and communities through information and diverse activities.
  • The services are provided in a variety of channels - e-mail, letter mail, service at the consulate, answering the phone.
  • Promotion of art agreements between Israel and Germany that help citizens - such as mutual recognition of driver's licenses, etc.

Starting from January 1, 2025, a payment option for consular services via bank transfer has been added, in addition to the existing payment options by credit or debit card.

The payment amount for the requested service will be in accordance with the details provided on the consulate's website, with the exact required fee listed in the fee schedule (if document return by mail is requested, an additional postage fee of 5 Euros will be charged).

The bank transfer must be made at least 3 business days prior to receiving the service.

When making a bank transfer, it is mandatory to include in the transfer notes: the full name of the service recipient (not the payer, if they are different), the requested service, and the Israeli ID number or passport number of the service requester.

When requesting a service (or sending documents by mail), a printout of the payment transfer confirmation must be attached.
