Director and screenwriter Ephraim Kishon is an Israeli writer, journalist and classic of modern Israeli humor. His books are published in millions of copies all over the world. "Sallah Shabati", Ephraim Kishon's first film, is an extremely popular film in Israel: the entire adult population watched the story of the misadventures of a Yemeni repatriate and loved it so much that they began to quote it.
