Entry visas for university or yeshiva students

This service enables foreign university or yeshiva students who want to study at institutions of higher education or at yeshivas in Israel, to submit an application for a visa.
Required Documents To Apply
Application for a student visa, completed and signed.
Recent passport photo (against a white background, with full front view of face, measuring 5x5 cm).
Foreign passport, valid for the period of the visa.
Confirmation of acceptance to the educational institution.
Confirmation of payment of tuition.
Proof of means of subsistence (printout of bank statement for at least three months).
Birth certificate (no need for an apostille stamp or chain of signatures).
Medical insurance.
Proof of residence in Israel.
Photographs of parents' passports
Tip
You need to provide the application through Australia Post / Courier to the consular department before scheduling an appointment.
Only after proceeding your application, we can schedule it.
Required presence at the Consulate
The applicant must appear in person at the mission.
Please note
A Student Visa is granted to those who want to study in Israel in elementary and high schools, academic institutions, yeshiva and youth institutions of the Jewish Agency.
Please note
This visa is granted only for the duration of the studies in Israel or up to one year (whichever is earliest) with multiple entries.
A student who wishes to extend their studies may submit an application at one of the regional population administration offices of the Ministry of Interior.
Please note
A person who enters Israel on a A/2 Visitor Visa is not allowed to work in the State of Israel.

Who can apply?

The service is available to university or yeshiva students who want to study at an institution of higher education or at a yeshiva in Israel.

How to apply

The applicant must submit a visa application, completed and signed, with supporting documents attached.

The completed application and supporting documents should be sent by email to an Israeli mission in the country where the applicant lives.

Please note:


If the confirmation of acceptance states that the student will be accompanied by another person – the details of such person should be provided, including their passport number.

 

If the applicant is under age 18, both parents must sign before the consular representative.

Schedule AN appointment

Any visit to a mission must be arranged in advance through the online appointment scheduler.

The affidavit that is to be signed must be prepared in advance.

Information

Additional documents that must be provided:

  1. Valid Australian Visa
  2. Detailed bank statement for the last three months
  3. Savings accounts transactions for the last three months
  4. Photocopy of ALL of the pages in your former passport
  5. If you are married, attach a photocopy of your marriage certificate + photocopy of your spouse's passport
    • if they are not Australian- a photocopy of their Australian visa)

Remember: we may request further documentation

If the applicant is a minor, both parents and child must book an appointment at the embassy and bring the following:

  1. Original birth certificate + Apostille​ stamp from the country of birth
  2. Application form for minor signed by both parents
  3. Both parents + child's passports
