Issuance of travel documents (passport) for citizens and residents of Israel

This service enables Israeli citizens and residents who are abroad to submit an application for a non-biometric Israeli travel document (passport)
Required Documents To Apply
Two recent photos (against a white background, with full front view of face, measuring 5x5 cm).
The travel document that is to be renewed.
A document proving Israeli citizenship – in case of an application for a first Israeli travel document.
Tip
In any case of uncertainty, you can email the consular department Your request with the following details:
1. your Israeli ID number
2. Your full Name
Tip
You need to arrive for an appointment if your situation is one of the following:

1. You are applying for a first passport / travel document.
2. You are applying for a passport / travel document for a minor (under 18).
3. You are applying for a passport / travel document first as an adult (over 18).
4. You haven't visited Israel in the past 10 years.
Required presence at the Consulate
If the application is for a first travel document, the applicant must appear in person at the mission.
If the application is for the renewal of an expired document, the application together with the required documents can be sent by mail to the mission in the country where the applicant is staying.
Please note
1. Adult - If you haven't visited Israel in the past 10 years - we can issue a new passport / provisional passport for one year.
2. Adult - If you haven't visited Israel in the past 5 year - we can issue a new passport / provisional passport until 10 years from your last visit (exp: last visit 01/2018 - new document valid until 01/2028)
3. Minor - If your child is aged between 12-17, we can issue a passport / provisional passport until their 17th birthday.
4. Minor - If your child is 16 years and 4 months old or over, they must file for a deferment from the IDF authorities before applying for a passport / provisional passport.
Please note
The validity of your passport / provisional passport may change according to your details - Please attach a photocopy of your Australian passport / Australian visa to determine the validity to your new passport / travel document.

Processing times may vary until 5 business days from the day of arrival to the department until posted back through Australia Post.

The service is available to Israeli citizens or residents living abroad.

How to apply

The applicant can schedule an appointment through the online appointment scheduler, at an Israeli mission in the country where he/she is staying, and bring all the documents in person to the mission.

The application with all the accompanying documents can be sent by mail, according to the instructions on the website of the mission.

Please note: When sending by mail, you must send the original documents and keep photocopies.

To visit the mission, it is necessary to schedule an appointment in advance.

Before coming to the mission, make sure you have with you all the required documents and completed forms.

Information

Your passport photos must be taken in the last 6 months.

Make sure to attach a large registered return self-addressed envelope with a tracking number for over two passports / provisional passports, or small envelope for one passport / provisional passport - with a tracking number.

Remember to make the transfer before posting the application.
