Entry visas for university or yeshiva students

This service enables foreign university or yeshiva students who want to study at institutions of higher education or at yeshivas in Israel, to submit an application for a visa.
Required Documents To Apply
Application for a student visa, completed and signed.
Recent passport photo (against a white background, with full front view of face, measuring 5x5 cm).
Foreign passport, valid for the period of the visa.
Confirmation of acceptance to the educational institution.
Confirmation of payment of tuition.
Proof of means of subsistence (printout of bank statement for at least three months).
Birth certificate (no need for an apostille stamp or chain of signatures).
Medical insurance.
Proof of residence in Israel.
Photographs of parents' passports
Tip
Please schedule an appointment about 3-4 weeks before your flight date.
Required presence at the Consulate
The applicant must appear in person at the mission.

The service is available to university or yeshiva students who want to study at an institution of higher education or at a yeshiva in Israel.

How to apply

The applicant must submit a visa application, completed and signed, with supporting documents attached.

The completed application and supporting documents should be sent by email to an Israeli mission in the country where the applicant lives.

Please note:


If the confirmation of acceptance states that the student will be accompanied by another person – the details of such person should be provided, including their passport number.

 

If the applicant is under age 18, both parents must sign before the consular representative.

Information

All the documents must be printed and served on the appointment day.

This visa is granted to those who want to study in Israel in elementary and high schools, academic institutions, Yeshivas, and Youth institutions of the Jewish Agency. The visa is valid for up to one year and has multiple entrances and exits. Recipients of this visa are not permitted to work in Israel.

*A letter of admission to school from the academic institutions

*Application for a visa; filled out digitally, printed, and signed by hand

*Valid passport: Please note that the passport must be valid for at least six months beyond your intended return date, provided that its issuing country has a Consulate/Embassy in the State of Israel. If there is no consulate/embassy in Israel, the passport must be valid for the entire period of studies and another six months beyond that time. In the US, In the case of a Green Card, the applicant must add it to the presented documents.

*Two passport pictures (2x2 inches) on a white background, without glasses/hats, and the hair must be behind the ears.

*Certificate of acceptance for study at a recognized educational institution in Israel. The letter should state the student's full name, the name of the program/school, and the length of the program.

*Bank statements and proof of financial capability; 3 recent bank statements or an institution fee/a letter from the bank stating the account balance. Suppose the student is funded financially by a third party or has a scholarship; the student will need to provide the following: 3 recent bank statements of the third party and/or an official letter from the institution confirming the scholarship.

*A flight ticket/reservation- The flight ticket/reservation must state the name of the applicant

*Original birth certificate

*Copy of parents' passports (both of them)

*International health insurance

*Proof of residence in Israel, in a rented apartment / RBNB / dormitories, etc.

 

Please note: 

*The Consul may request additional documents on the day of the appointment.

*A minor will be given a visa only with the written consent of both parents or their legal guardian. Both parents are required to be at the consulate. However, suppose one of the parents is unable to attend. In that case, their written consent will need to be signed in front of a public notary and verified utilizing "Apostille" or the equivalent verification available in the parent's country of residence. The original and authenticated consent will need to be presented at the Consulate by the visa applicant, authenticated and certified.

 

For an A/4 visa, please add the following:

*Application for a visa; filled out digitally, printed, and signed by hand (attached)

*Valid passport: Please note that the passport must be valid for at least six months beyond your intended return date, provided that its issuing country has a Consulate/Embassy in the State of Israel. If there is no consulate/embassy in Israel, the passport must be valid for the entire period of studies and another six months beyond that time. In the US, In the case of a Green Card, the applicant must add it to the presented documents.

*Two passport pictures (2x2 inches) on a white background, without glasses/hats, and the hair must be behind the ears.

*Original marriage and birth certificate

*A letter from the academic institution stating that the spouse/children are part of the visa
