Today, Yom Hazikaron began in Israel – Remembrance Day for soldiers who fell for the freedom and security of the country, as well as victims of terrorism. This year, the date falls on April 30.
On this day, we bow our heads in deep respect and eternal memory. Each of the fallen will forever remain a part of our common history. Their courage and devotion became the foundation for peace and the protection of the State of Israel.
A siren sounds throughout the country – and everything freezes. Cars stop, people get off buses, and bow their heads in silence. This is the moment when personal pain becomes common.
