Visit of the Speaker of the Knesset of Israel

This visit became an important stage in strengthening the friendship between Israel and Uzbekistan and gave new impetus to the development of dialogue between our countries.

Meeting in Senate

As part of the official visit of the Israeli delegation to Uzbekistan to participate in the Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union, an important meeting was held between the Speaker of the Knesset of the State of Israel Amir Ohana, members of the delegation and the Chairperson of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan Tanzila Narbaeva.

During the discussion, both sides emphasized the strengthening of inter-parliamentary cooperation between the two countries. Particular attention was paid to the joint fight against extremism and the urgent need to release all hostages.


In addition to visiting the Senate of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Amir Ohana held meetings with the Speaker of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan Mr. Nuriddinjon Ismailov.

The parties discussed important international issues: the situation in the Middle East, efforts to release all hostages, as well as the need to deepen inter-parliamentary ties. The focus was also on regional cooperation, joint promotion of stability and prosperity, and the fight against anti-Semitism and intolerance.


In addition to official meetings, the delegation of the Israeli Knesset visited Victory Park, got acquainted with the exposition of the park and museum, and laid flowers at the Monument of Memory and Gratitude to the Uzbek People for saving hundreds of thousands of refugees during World War II, among whom were tens of thousands of Jews fleeing the horrors of war.
