On March 4, 2025, a ceremony was held to present ORCAM devices to visually impaired children. This event was made possible by the cooperation between the Embassy of Israel, MASHAV, the Israeli International Cooperation Program, the Social Protection Agency of the Republic of Uzbekistan, and the Israeli company ORCAM. The ceremony was attended by the Ambassador of Israel to Uzbekistan Gideon Lustig, the First Deputy Director of the Social Protection Agency Sharifkhodjaev Usman Ulfatovich, and a representative of the ORCAM company Oren Barashi.

As part of this project, four ORCAM MyEye devices were presented to high school students Yusufkhodja, Zakhro, Shahzoda, and Okile, and one ORCAM Reader device was given to specialized school #77, where children with visual impairments study. This initiative was implemented with the support of the Israeli international cooperation program MASHAV and the Social Protection Agency as part of their joint work on inclusion and social integration.
ORCAM is a portable voice-controlled device designed for people who are blind and visually impaired. It instantly reads text from any book and from a screen, recognizes the faces of loved ones and friends, and accurately identifies various objects and goods, and much more. All information is transmitted to the user in real time.
Israeli Ambassador to Uzbekistan Gideon Lustig noted:
"I believe that the purpose of this event is not only to help these wonderful young people. It shows us that if you have a good idea that benefits others, it can be a turning point in their lives. Our Israeli spirit of innovation and culture have proven that the necessary technologies will eventually be found, and each of us has the power to change the lives of many people."
First Deputy Minister of Social Protection Usman Sharifkhodjaev emphasized:
"Thanks to such initiatives, we are creating a society where equal rights and opportunities for people are becoming the norm."
