Tal Naim Cohen

Spokesperson, Embassy of Israel to the United States

Born and raised in Jerusalem, Tal has been a career diplomat for the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs for 10 years. Prior to taking up her current position in Washington, DC, Tal served as Deputy Chief of Mission at the Israeli Embassy to Costa Rica and as Spokesperson for the Israeli Embassy to Mexico. She also worked for the MFA in Israel as a Deputy Spokesperson and, most recently, as a policy advisor to the Foreign Minister.

Tal holds a bachelor’s degree in communications and international relations and a master’s in public policy from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. She served as a captain in the Israeli Defense Forces Medical Corps, where she was in charge of a medical operation room in the Home Front Command and took part in a rescue mission in Nairobi, Kenya in 2006. Tal is married and has two children.

 

Press Office

The Embassy of Israel Press Office serves as a resource for editors, journalists, and broadcasters to receive information and official statements on issues relating to Israel, notably in the areas of politics, economics, culture, and energy. In addition to its daily communications with local, national, and international media, the Press Office distributes press releases, updates, and statements on key developments. The department arranges interviews and briefings for members of the media with the ambassador, the embassy spokesman, and other Israeli diplomats. The department coordinates Israeli government officials' visits and develops the media components.

The department is happy to provide members of the press traveling on assignment to Israel with written and visual information and help to arrange meetings and interviews (Press Accreditation Information).
