On February 4, 2025, Embassy of the State of Israel, Economic and Trade Mission of Israel to Ukraine and Lviv Medical Business Cluster held an online conference dedicated to innovations in the medical field and opportunities for cooperation between Ukraine and Israel. The event brought together leading specialists in the medical industry, representatives of companies and organizations to discuss advanced medical technologies and new directions in treatment.
The event was solemnly opened by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the State of Israel to Ukraine, Mr. Michael Brodsky, who welcomed guests and spoke about the humanitarian assistance provided to Ukraine; and Head of the Israeli Economic and Trade Mission to Ukraine, Ms. Avigail Shtamler Paz. Both emphasized the importance of deepening cooperation in the field of medicine and innovation between the two countries.
During the event, participants had the opportunity to hear key-note speeches by leading medical experts.
- Dr. Alex Kanevsky, Medical Director of Manor Medical Center in Israel, presented the Israeli healthcare system and opportunities for collaboration in innovation and research.
- Ms. Olena Kolesnyk presented Sheba Medical Center and their revolutionary CAR-T program for the treatment of leukemia, lymphoma and multiple myeloma.
- Dr. Iryna Zhevelyuk from the Israeli Assuta Clinic spoke about new opportunities for the use of immunotherapy in the treatment of breast cancer.
Special attention was paid to the presentations of Israeli companies that develop innovative solutions in the medical field. In particular, companies involved in laser treatment of pain and injuries (BCure Laser), equipment for heating blood and fluids in the field (Qinflow), as well as developing technologies for the treatment of various types of wounds (Silverstream) were presented.
Summarizing, the event became an important step towards strengthening the medical partnership between Ukraine and Israel and opened up new opportunities for the implementation of advanced medical technologies in Ukraine.
