Over 500 people joined the Consulate and UJA Federation of Greater Toronto at Beth Tzedec Congregation for the annual Official Yom Hazikaron ceremony - Israel’s Memorial Day for Fallen Soldiers and Victims of Terror.

This year, our pain is heightened, as we also mourn the loss of those who were brutally taken from us on October 7. 1200+ soldiers and civilians, including 8 Canadians.

On Yom Hazikaron, as we remember those who have fallen, we say to the souls of those lost: We will never forget you. We will never cease to mourn you.

We thank those who attended this meaningful event, including MP Kevin Vuong, MP Anna Roberts, Minister Michael Kerzner, Minister Jill Dunlop, Minister David Piccini, MPP Laura Smith, MPP Robin Martin, and Toronto City Councillor James Pasternak.
