The Cultural Affairs Office of the Embassy of Israel in Spain is committed to fostering bonds of coexistence and understanding through various cultural disciplines between both shores of the Mediterranean. These bonds have grown stronger since the signing of the diplomatic relations agreements between the State of Israel and the Kingdom of Spain in 1989, in The Hague. This is evidenced by the renewal and expansion of the bilateral Culture treaty in 2017, which followed the brief agreement signed in 1987, and the Film Coproduction Treaty signed in 2012.
From this Office, we strive to make CULTURE a cornerstone in our friendship relations, allowing our democracies to flourish in a promising future for both nations. We cannot forget the deep cultural ties that bind us through Sephardic Judaism, a faithful reflection of the roots of a language that further deepens our Mediterranean soul.
