Issuance of an Israeli travel document (passport) following loss, theft or damage

This service enables Israeli citizens abroad to submit an application for a new travel document (passport) following loss, theft, damage or wearing out of the previous travel document.
Required Documents To Apply
Identifying document with a photo (ID card or Israeli driver's license).
Two recent passport photos (color against a white background, with full front view of face, measuring 5x5 cm).
Tip
To the knowledge of the general public, most countries and their law enforcement agencies routinely communicate with Interpol's global headquarters in Lyon, France, to report instances of lost, destroyed, or stolen passports belonging to their citizens.

These reports are automatically integrated into international border control databases worldwide.
It's important to highlight that if an Israeli citizen reports the loss of their passport to the Israel Police or local law enforcement, and the passport is subsequently recovered, it has already been reported to Interpol as lost and logged in the worldwide lost passport database.

Consequently, the passport holder cannot use this document for future travel and may face delays at border crossings in numerous countries. In such circumstances, the citizen is required to obtain a replacement travel document from the nearest Israeli embassy.
Required Presence at the Consulate
The applicant must appear in person at the mission.
Please note
An additional fee will be charged in case of a lost / stolen / damaged travel document
