Embassy of Israel presented conference, storytelling and Israeli cinema
The Embassy of Israel participated in the 28th edition of the Lima International Book Fair. Our booth included the replica of the Western Wall in Jerusalem, allowing our visitors to leave a prayer between its cracks. At the end of the fair, 2,541 prayers were accumulated which will be sent to the Western Wall Foundation to be deposited on the wall itself in Jerusalem.
Among the cultural activities that took place during the 18 fair days, the films "Salsa Tel Aviv" and "Non-Orthodox" were presented. The children enjoyed the two story-telling activities presented by the teacher and former MASHAV student Giuliana Gaona, who presented the children's stories by the writer Etgar Keret "Daddy escaped from the circus" and "Night without a Moon."
In coordination with AMIA Cultura, Professor Tamara Rajczyk presented the conference "Israeli Writers, Yesterday and Today" and finally, we had the participation of children who painted the Israeli flag and participated in contests and raffles to get Israeli reading material.
