Culture and So-Me

The Cultural and So-Me Department of the Israeli Embassy in Norway enhances our embassy's cultural and academic relations with local and Israeli artists, organizations, and places of cultural interest. The Cultural and So-Me officer manages all social media platforms, promoting Israel's diversity in Norway and Iceland, and expanding cultural collaborations. The officer also analyzes local media, assists diplomats, and coordinates events.

Culture

The embassy of Israel in Norway works to create meaningful Cultural collaborations between the countries.

We also strive for stronger bilateral ties between Norwegian and Israeli Academy.
This applies at university level, at researcher level and at student level.

Study in Israel?

  • Several Israeli universities and colleges offer students tuition in English, in many cases full degrees. Among these are the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, Tel Aviv University, Technion, Haifa University and IDC Herzliya. Follow this link for more practical information about studies in Israel, scholarships, student visas and internships.

Scholarship

  • The "Thanks to Scandinavia" fund awards grants every year as a thank you to the Scandinavian countries for their efforts to save Jews during the Second World War. Two scholarships are awarded for one year of full-time studies at the Hebrew University and eight scholarships (two per country) for summer courses at the Hebrew University.
