The Embassy of Israel in Nigeria donated football kits to the students of LEA Primary School Festival Road in Garki, Abuja, on the 24th of June, 2024. This heartfelt gesture honors the memory of Moshe “Jerry” Beit HaLevi (1912–1997), the esteemed Israeli football player and manager who served as Nigeria’s first national football team coach from 1960-61.

The event was a vibrant celebration of sportsmanship and international friendship, attended by notable figures including international football star John Fashanu, Director General of Israel's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Yaakov Blitshein, H.E. Michael Freeman, Ambassador of Israel to Nigeria, and members of the press. Their presence underscored the strong bonds between Israel and Nigeria, united by a shared passion for football and youth development.

This donation not only provides essential sports equipment but also inspires the young students to pursue excellence both on and off the field, fostering a spirit of teamwork, dedication, and ambition.
