This service enables Israeli citizens and Israeli residents staying abroad to submit an application to extend a non-biometric Israeli travel document. (passport)

please note:

  • A non-biometric travel document can be extended for up to five years.
  • Any extension of a travel document is subject to the age of the applicant and to the consul's decision.

  • To extend a travel document for a minor, the minor must come in person to an Israeli mission accompanied by one of his parents

Additional Required Documents

  • A registered mail envelope with a tracking number, prepaid, and addressed to the desired passport delivery location. If you wish to pick up the passport from the consulate once it's ready, please state it on the application.
  • Personal information application. To download, click here.
  • If the passport is not eligible for an extension and requires a renewal, the request will be returned to the applicant with instructions on how to apply for a passport renewal. If you are unsure whether your passport is eligible for an extension, it’s best to include all the necessary documents for a renewal. Please read the instructions here.

 

  • In the case of a minor, in order for only one parent to be present at the consulate, the parents must be registered as married in the population registry in Israel.
  • In the case of a minor, the application form must be signed by both parents.
  • A citizen who has reached the age of 16 years and 4 months and has not yet regulated their military status is requested to fill out a military status arrangement form. All documents can be found on the military deferral service page.

 

  • Requests received by mail will be examined individually. If additional documents are required or if a visit to the consulate is necessary, the request will be returned to the applicant with detailed instructions.
  • If a passport renewal is required instead of an extension, the request will be returned to the applicants by mail.
