Celebrating 75 years of friendship between Israel and the Netherlands
The Embassy of Israel was honored to host a reception commemorating 75 years of diplomatic relations with the Netherlands. This event brought together esteemed guests, including the new Minister of Foreign Affairs, Caspar Veldkamp, VVD leader Dilan Yeşilgöz, and various business leaders, highlighting the strength of the friendship between Israel and the Netherlands.
Ambassador Modi Ephraim delivered a speech reflecting on the deep historical connections between the two nations. The ambassador emphasized the ongoing and growing collaboration, especially in the field of innovation, noting an Israeli delegation's visit to the Netherlands to discuss opportunities for joint research and development.
The Ambassador reminded the audience of the plight of the hostages who have been abducted to Gaza. "We will not rest until they are all home", Ambassador Ephraim reiterated.
The evening concluded on a hopeful note as Ambassador Ephraim raised a toast to the enduring friendship between Israel and the Netherlands, symbolized by the flags of both nations, and expressing hope for a bright future where the hostages have returned and the region will know peace and stability.
