Ambassador Shmulik Arie Bass visited Sudurpaschim Province, his first work-visit in Nepal as the ambassador of Israel, between 21-24 April 2025 in Darchula, Doti, Mahendranagar and Dhangadi. During the visit, he met with the families of four Nepali victims of the October 7, 2023 terrorist attack in Israel, sharing their grief and expressing solidarity on behalf of the State of Israel. Ambassador Bass also visited the family of Bipin Joshi, who is still held hostage by Hamas. He reaffirmed Israel’s ongoing efforts to secure the release of all the hostages. He extended moral support and assured the families that Israel stands with them during this difficult time
Further, he held a courtesy meeting with Prof. Dr. Hem Raj Pant, Vice Chancellor of Far-Western University.
