A brief overview of Israel's relations with NATO and the Israeli Mission to NATO.

Israel has been a NATO partner through the Mediterranean Dialogue since 1994, alongside Algeria, Egypt, Jordan, Mauritania, Morocco, and Tunisia. The first Israeli Ambassador to present his credentials to the NATO Secretary General was Ambassador Leshno-Yaar in September 2016. A few months later, in May 2017, the Mission of Israel to NATO officially opened its offices at NATO Headquarters.
The Mission operates under the Israeli Mission to the EU and NATO, with the ambassador and deputy serving simultaneously as Israel's Permanent Representative and Deputy Permanent Representative to NATO.
The Mission team includes the Ambassador, the Deputy Ambassador, the Head of the Political Section, and two Political Advisors.
