100 years to Israeli National Poet Yehudah Amichai

Noting 100 years to Israeli national poet Yehudah Amichai in Yangon, Myanmar today, at the Goethe Institute in Yangon. The Embassy of Israel in Myanmar held a poetry translation workshop on Amichai's translations to Burmese, German and English, from Hebrew. Amichai's daughter Emanuella congratulated the participants, who translated together to 4 languages his poem "1924". We have published a new version of Amichai"s poems translated to Burmese, with 3 poems translated for this workshop.
