Aventura City Council has officially established a sister city relationship with Modi’in, Israel.
The cities of Aventura, Florida, and Modiin-Maccabim-Reut in Israel, have signed a sister city agreement, reflecting the deep friendship between the two cities and providing a fertile ground for future mutual cooperation in various fields. During the event, the Aventura municipality donated a Magen David Adom ambulance to the residents of Modiin.
Over the years, several sister city agreements have been signed between cities in Florida and cities in Israel. These agreements create bridges for cooperation in education, economy, and culture, thereby strengthening the unique connection between the entire state of Florida and Israel.
Among these are:
1. Sunny Isles Beach and Netanya
2. Tampa and Ashdod
3. Gainesville and Kfar Saba
4. Hollywood and Herzliya
5. Tallahassee and Ramat Ha-Sharon
6. Miami Beach and Eilat
