A request to correct a minor's first name requires the consent of both parents.
In a request to correct a date of birth (day and month), if the applicant does not have the original birth certificate, a declaration regarding the date of birth may be made before the consul.
The service enables Israeli citizens and residents to submit a request to correct the following details in the Population Registry:

- The name is misspelled or there is an inconsistency between the Hebrew and Latin spelling of the first or last name.
- The applicant's first or last name in the birth certificate does not match the record in the Population Registry.

A request for completions and corrections in the Population Registry or in the Register of Births should be completed in two copies and brought, together with the required documents, for submission in person at an Israeli mission in the country where the applicant lives.

1 - Due to the limited size of the waiting room and the volume of visitors, a person who does not have an appointment or does not require consular services will not be permitted to enter the Consulate. This includes spouses and family members. Seniors, disabled individuals and minors requiring consular services may be escorted by one other person.
2 - When entering the building you will talk to a security officer on the phone. You will have to show proof of the appointment (date and time) as well as to show a pictured ID.
3 - Every visitor is required to undergo a thorough security check before entering the waiting room. Security directives apply to all those who visit the Consulate. The instructions of the security staff must be obeyed at all times, throughout your visit to the Consulate.
4 - Do not bring any bags with you to your appointment including large backpacks, suitcases or duffle bags. Personal purses are allowed. There is no place to store bags in the consulate/building.
5 - Any electronic items (cellphones, headphones, electronic cigarettes, etc.) must be deposited in a safety deposit outside of the Consulate) You will have access to your devices after your appointment).
6 - Any food, beverages (cold or hot) and containers containing liquids are prohibited from entering the Consulate.
7 - Please come ready to administer your payment. We accept only debit/credit cards (Visa/Mastercard) and cash.
