Application for a work visa in Israel – caregivers

The service enables foreigners over age 18, who wish to work in Israel as caregivers, to submit an application for a work visa. A work visa procedure can start only after receiving approval from the Ministry of the Interior in Israel
Required Documents To Apply

Passport valid for 3 years
Two recent duplicate passport photos (color against a white background, with full front view of face, measuring 5x5 cm)
Criminal clearance certificate valid for 6 months, translated and certified
Birth certificate, translated and certified
Confirmation of medical tests carried out at laboratories or hospitals recognized by the mission
Declaration of agreement to be fingerprinted and photographed
Employment contract
Training certificate
Certification from the local labor ministry that the local employment agency that recruited the worker possesses a valid brokerage license
Required presence at the Consulate
The applicant must present himself for a personal interview at an Israeli mission in the country where he lives.

Who can apply?

Those eligible to receive the service are foreigners over age 18 with no first-degree relatives in Israel, on whose behalf an application for a work visa has been submitted and whose application has been approved by the Population and Immigration Authority.

How to apply

All the required forms should be completed and submitted as per the instructions, in the country where the applicant lives. The applicant must come for a personal interview at the mission, subject to receiving an invitation.
Please note: The application to the Israeli mission will be made by the local employment agency that recruited the worker.

Schedule an appointemet

To visit the mission, it is necessary schedule an appointment in advance.
Before coming to the mission, make sure you have with you all the required documents and completed forms.

Consular fee


The fee will be paid by the inviting entity, at the time of submitting the application.
If the fee has not been paid in Israel, a fee will be collected according to the schedule of fees on the mission's website.

Information

Security requirements for visitors of the consular services of the Embassy:

1. Visiting the Consular Section is only by prior appointment.
2. Please bring photo ID (passport, ID) with you.
3. All visitors and their luggage will be subject to a security check.
4. For security reasons, personal items (e.g. bags, mobile phones, electrical equipment) are not allowed on the Embassy premises.
5. Please do not bring any handbags or suitcases into the Embassy.
6. Do not bring food and/or drink containers/bottles.
7. Instructions from security staff must be followed at all times.
8. If there is a need for escorting the visitor, the details of the escorting person is required and must be sent in advance.
