Israeli Embassy inaugurates new permanent offices in Tegucigalpa

The new offices represent the close bond between both nations.

The Israeli Embassy in Honduras inaugurated its new permanent offices in Tegucigalpa on Wednesday 18th. Among the guests were members of the government, such as Vice Chancellor Antonio Garcia, members of the Diplomatic Corps, members of the Jewish community of Honduras and friends of the Embassy.

At the inauguration ceremony, Ambassador Nadav Goren emphasized the importance of the event: "The opening of this new space is a symbol of the enduring relationship between Honduras and Israel and the continued commitment to further strengthen them."

Deputy Chief of Mission Dafna Danenberg said that this project has been in the works for some time. "Today we mark the completion of a project that began a long time ago"… "The construction of the new Embassy began the day Israel announced the reopening of its Embassy in Honduras three years ago, due to the strong 76-year friendship between our countries."

Vice Chancellor Garcia addressed those present: "Today we celebrate the opening of the new offices of the Embassy of Israel in Honduras. An important step in the bilateral relations between our countries." In his speech, the Vice Chancellor also expressed the following: "The history of nations is woven with threads of friendship, cooperation and mutual respect. For decades, Honduras and Israel have shared cultural, official and diplomatic ties, and what can we say about the Jewish-Christian ties that unite our peoples."

Ambassador Goren, along with Deputy Chief of Mission Danenberg and Vice Chancellor Garcia, cut the ribbon, opening the new permanent offices of the Embassy of Israel in Honduras. The newly arrived Ambassador Goren took the opportunity to emphasize his vision for strengthening bilateral relations between Israel and Honduras.

"I see immense potential to expand current cooperation, among other areas, such as agriculture, water management, aquaculture, health, entrepreneurship, gender, innovation, security and economic cooperation in general. We seek to expand our presence within the development ecosystem through our international cooperation agency, MASHAV, for the benefit of the Honduran people," concluded Ambassador Goren.
