Israel joins the US, Canada and Australia, where similar electronic travel authorization systems are already in use.
The State of Israel launched (July 1st, 2024) an Electronic Travel Authorization system, to approve entrance of tourists from visa-exempt countries.
The purpose of submitting the request is to make sure that there is no obstacle and the passengers can board a flight to Israel.
In cases where approval is not received (for any reason) - applicants will be directed to a service center, explanations and appropriate instructions.
