JEWISH NEW YEAR

The last year has been one of the most difficult in the history of our country and our people. But also in the midst of the darkness, we have seen the light.

The people of Israel have shown us the true meaning of resilience and hope. Our Jewish and non-Jewish brothers and sisters have shown us kindness, solidarity and unity in the face of unimaginable challenges.

Things are not easy right now, but we pray for a year of healing, recovery, growth, security and peace. We pray for the return of our abductees who have been held captive in Gaza for almost a year.

We pray for the grieving Israeli families who have lost loved ones and whose hearts are broken. And we pray for the brave men and women in uniform who protect us day and night.

This year, “Shanah Tovah” has a different meaning. It is not just a greeting, it is a heartfelt prayer.

We do not lose hope that the coming year will be sweeter and full of strength, health, joy and blessings.
