ECONOMIC AND TRADE MISSION HOLDS FORUM ON CANNABIS INDUSTRY

On Thursday, 26th September, the Israeli Economic and Trade Mission to Ghana, in collaboration with the Chamber of Cannabis Industry Ghana (Cannacham), hosted the first forum on the cannabis industry in Accra. The forum focused on fostering dialogue, knowledge exchange and showcased practical demonstrations of various technological opportunities in the cannabis sector in Israel and Ghana.

ECONOMIC AND TRADE MISSION HOLDS FORUM ON CANNABIS INDUSTRY

On Thursday, 26th September, the Israeli Economic and Trade Mission to Ghana, in collaboration with the Chamber of Cannabis Industry Ghana (Cannacham), hosted the first forum on the cannabis industry in Accra. The forum focused on fostering dialogue, knowledge exchange and showcased practical demonstrations of various technological opportunities in the cannabis sector in Israel and Ghana.

 

The breakfast forum was organized under the theme “Transforming Ghana’s Cannabis Industry – Integrating Israeli Technologies to Advance Ghana's Cannabis Sector.”

 

In his remarks, our Ambassador Designate to Ghana, Liberia and Sierra Leone, H.E. Mr. Roey Gilad expressed his excitement about the prospects of exploring the growth of the cannabis industry in Ghana.

“We are excited about the opportunities within the cannabis sector in Ghana and the possible collaboration between Israelis and Ghanaian companies to enhance the sector for economic growth.”

He reiterated the State of Israel’s commitment to strengthen economic and trade relations between Israel and Ghana, stressing on the incredible work of the Economic and Trade Mission office in partnering with relevant stakeholders to enhance economic and trade relations between Israel and Ghana.

Speaking on behalf of the members of the Chamber of Cannabis Industry – Ghana, Dr. Mark Darko, emphasized on the need to strengthen collaboration with Israeli companies.

“We are not just talking about the cultivation of cannabis; we are talking about integrating cutting edge technologies – smart irrigation systems, precision agriculture, genetic optimization and advanced pharmaceutical applications. These innovations will ensure that Ghana’s cannabis industry operates at the highest international standards and its competitive on the global scale.”

 

Participating Israeli companies include Azrom Agriculture Inovations, Eybna, RCK - Science based cannabis genetics, MyCrops, and CANNASOUL GROUP.
