The consular section of the Israeli Consulate General in Dubai provides information on visas and other consular services for non-Israeli citizens planning to visit Israel, as well as assistance for Israeli citizens living in Dubai in need of various consular and notary services. Moreover, the consular section provides support and assistance to Israelis in need in Dubai during emergencies.

Visa application:

Visa applications are not submitted to the Israeli Consulate General in person. 
In order to receive a visa, you will need to apply via our BSR Visa Center in Dubai.

Visa Center will collect all needed documents and will forward the completed request to us.

Important information

Entry into the UAE will be allowed only for holders of a valid normal / biometric Israeli passport only (minimum six months validity is required).

According to the local regulations , you will not be allowed to enter the United Arab Emirates with any variety of an Israeli laissez passer travel document (“teudat maavar”), or using a passport with less than six months’ validity.

 

Conduct in the UAE

The United Arab Emirates, and specifically Dubai, is a popular travel destination to which tourists flock from all over the world. The local attitude towards tourists is very respectful, and in turn the visiting tourist should return the same courtesy to the place and its people. Please respect your surroundings, avoid being excessively loud or argumentative in public, and don’t fight, shout, or curse.

Please obey the rules of the road – driving over the speed limit or incurring violations will result in heavy fines. It is absolutely forbidden to drive after drinking any amount of alcohol - the violation of which may lead to arrest.

Drinking alcohol in public is only allowed in designated places, such as restaurants and bars.

Drug use, including marijuana, is strictly prohibited!

 

Respect and Behavior in Public

• Discrimination and racism of any kind is prohibited. It is forbidden to engage in demonstrations, curse, or incite violence.

• Do not photograph people without their consent. It is forbidden to photograph public officials or buildings, including government buildings, police stations, military bases, etc.

• Modest clothing should be worn at religious sites, and appropriate clothing in public.

• Refrain from showing excessive physical affection in public.

• Do not pick up any object that does not belong to you.

• Please be respectful of public officials and institutions, and show tolerance to all religions.

• Do not post slander or offensive/provocative posts on social media.

• Show respect and tolerance towards those around you.

Note that everything in the Emirates there is significant law enforcement! Whoever breaks the law, will be penalized.

 

Bringing in medication:

Certain medications are prohibited from bringing into the UAE, including medical cannabis – a prescription issued in Israel (or anywhere else) is not recognized in the Emirates. For more information, visit the local Ministry of Health website:

We will emphasize again that even medical cannabis with a prescription from overseas is against the law. Please note that it may show up in a blood test.

The TravIL application also works without connecting the device to the network (important in areas without reception) and takes care to maintain the user’s privacy -it does not require any registration, does not ask for personal details and does not even know the geographic location of the device.

Security instructions for those arriving to the Consulate

Services are by appointment only.

You must arrive with valid photo ID (passport or ID card) .

Each visitor will be subject to a security check for himself and his belongings. In order to facilitate the security process, we recommend you arrive without a bag, if possible.

Personal belongings that are not necessary for the consular service will be deposited in designated compartments, in accordance with the instructions by the security department.
