Liri was kidnapped by Hamas from Kibbutz Nahal Oz

Tonight, I would like to light the sixth candle of Hanukkah, in honour of Liri Albag.

Liri was kidnapped by Hamas from Kibbutz Nahal Oz on October7, 2023 and is being held in Gaza ever since.

In May, Hamas released a horrifying footage showing Liri and other kidnapped women. They were all visibly shocked and terrified.

Released hostages described how Liri was transported into Hamas’ underground terror tunnels, under unbearable conditions, with very little food and water, no light, and no medical care.

Last October, Liri's little brother, Guy, won 2nd place in the World Karting Championship. However, instead of holding a trophy, he held a photo of Liri calling to bring her and all the 100 hostages back home.

The OECD Economic Survey on Israel was launched yesterday (April 2, 2025), during the Secretary-General's visit and appearance before the Economic and Social Cabinet at the Government Secretariat. In addition, the Secretary-General's visit to Jerusalem included meetings with the Prime Minister, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, the Minister of Finance, the Minister of Economy and Industry, the Governor of the Bank of Israel, the State Comptroller, and the Innovation Authority.
