A moving and emotional event, organized by the Jewish Community of Cyprus

Last night I took part at the moving and emotional event, organized by the Jewish Community of Cyprus in praying for the thousands of victims of the Hamas terror attack on 7/10.
As the official representative of the State of Israel I felt very proud to deliver a speech to the hundreds of Israel’s friends and supporters.
But as a human being, I found it very difficult to hold myself together, when listening to Merav Leshem-Gonen's brokenhearted cry for her 23-year-old daughter Romi- one of the young, innocent, defenseless people kidnapped by Hamas to Gaza from the music festival in Southern Israel.
The voice of this brave and inspiring woman must be heard, together with the voices of the family and friends of almost 200 Israelis taken hostage by a terror organization.
Cyprus🇨🇾, Israel🇮🇱 and the entire civilized world should and will make her voice louder. The war against terrorism and barbarism must and shall be won.
