The Press and Academic Affairs Department engages in the following activities:

  • Serving as a resource for editors, journalists, broadcasters, and academic representatives, with the aim of providing information and official statements on issues related to Israel;
  • Scheduling interviews and briefings for members of the media with the Consul General and other Israeli diplomats and representatives visiting the Midwest;
  • Hosting Israeli officials and experts in a variety of fields and coordinating meetings between them and media and academic representatives;
  • Strengthening the relationships between academic institutions and their counterparts in Israel; 
  • Organizing official press and academic stakeholders from the Midwest to Israel or from Israel to the Midwest.
