In his address to the guests, Mr. Poplinger expressed deep gratitude to the International Christian Embassy, emphasizing the importance of the love and support shown by those present.
"Israel is a small country, but it is strong. We have faced many challenges, but with faith and good friends like you, we continue to grow and contribute to the world. Your kindness and prayers give us strength," he stated.
The event honored the heroism of Bulgarian society 82 years ago, when joint efforts prevented the deportation of Bulgarian Jews, and commemorated the 11,343 Jews sent to the death camps from Vardar Macedonia, Aegean Thrace, and Pirot.
