Ambassador Sfari congratulated Minister Mitov on his appointment to the regular government and wished him professional success. He expressed special gratitude for the measures taken by the Ministry of Interior to ensure the security of the Embassy of Israel, the Jewish community in the country, and Israeli tourists visiting Bulgaria.
During the conversation, Minister Mitov shared his high appreciation for the effective and productive cooperation between Bulgaria and Israel, including in the field of internal affairs and security. He expressed readiness to further develop and deepen the excellent relations established over the years at all levels and in areas of priority importance for both countries.
The meeting also addressed the fight against antisemitism, with both sides agreeing on the need for even more active and decisive actions against hate speech, manifestations, and hate crimes. Minister Mitov and Ambassador Sfari also discussed various topics on the international agenda, including the current situation in the Middle East.
