Ambassador Yossi Levi Sfari had the honor of opening the second edition of Cyber Sec Day, organized by Check Point Software Technologies.
The event focuses on exploring new trends and challenges in the field of cybersecurity — a matter of growing importance not only for Israel but for the entire democratic world.
In his speech to the attendees, Ambassador Sfari emphasized that cyber terrorism extends far beyond industry, the economy, or cyberattacks on individuals; it is a direct assault on freedom, moral values, and democratic principles.
He noted that since October 7, Iran has increasingly shifted its focus from the U.S. and the UAE to Israel, with half of these cyberattacks now targeting Israel’s military and civilian infrastructure. These attacks have caused significant service disruptions, financial losses, psychological stress, and direct threats to public safety, underscoring their profound impact on society.
