During the meeting, various opportunities for joint projects within the framework of the bilateral Agreement between Bulgaria and Israel for cooperation in the field of water were discussed.
Mr. Poplinger emphasized the challenges Israel faces in water management, particularly given its geographic location, dry climate, and the lack of numerous freshwater bodies. He also highlighted how Israel's commitment to innovation and technology has positioned the country as a leader in water recycling, desalination, and irrigation practices.
We greatly appreciate the comprehensive information shared by the CEO of “Bulgarian Water Supply and Sewerage Holding” EAD, Mrs. Irena Georgieva, and the members of the Board regarding Bulgaria's water sector, infrastructure, challenges, and development opportunities.
