The political department is responsible for the diplomatic relations between Israel and Azerbaijan, and strives to strengthen their bilateral cooperation between, while promoting Israel's policies and interests.
The department is responsible for the political and economic issues, and promotes Israel's positions in a wide variety of fields. This is carried out through maintaining continuous contact with government officials, members of parliament, foreign diplomats, academic institutions, companies and businessmen, research institutes, civil society representatives and influencers. In addition, the department promotes in the activities of the MASHAV for development cooperation in Azerbaijan.
