Making a notarized affidavit before a consular representative at an Israeli mission abroad

This service enables holders of Israeli citizenship and foreigners to sign a written notarized affidavit at an Israeli mission abroad

The person signing the affidavit must appear in person at the mission.
If the signatory is below age 18 , he must come to the mission in the company of his parents or guardian.

Before coming to the mission, it is advisable to check if the affiant must be accompanied by both parents.

The processing time of documents for which notary services are required is 5 business days, starting on the day of signature in the Consulate.

The request may be submitted by Israeli citizens and foreign citizens who wish to submit an affidavit in Israel.

How to apply

After the affidavit has been prepared  it must be brought in person to an Israeli mission in the country where the affiant lives. The affiant is required to identify himself by means of a passport or ID card.
The service is provided for affidavits in various languages.

Please note: When the affidavit is written in a language other than Hebrew or English, it is necessary to check before coming to the mission whether the service is provided in the required language.

Any visit to a mission must be arranged in advance through the online appointment scheduler.
The affidavit that is to be signed must be prepared in advance.

Information

Notarizations must be made in person in front of the diplomatic/consular representative.

Please note: Israeli missions abroad are not authorized to prepare, edit, assist with, or advise on documents of a legal nature.

 

*You must bring all the documents needing notary services in hard copy to your appointment, including ONE EXTRA COPY for the consulate archive.

*Printing and copying services are not available on-site.

*To qualify for notarization, the person seeking such services must fully understand each document. Comprehension is demonstrated by describing each document word-for-word. General knowledge of the topic addressed by the document is insufficient for these purposes.

*If the document is not in Hebrew or English, it must be translated into one of these languages and authenticated via Apostille. 

*All documents must be filled in completely, except for the "Date" and "Signature" sections, which will be filled in during the appointment and in front of the consul only.

*It will not be possible to complete or add content to documents during the meeting.

*If you need help filling out the forms, please consult with an authorized person in advance.

*The average processing time for notarial services is five (5) business days, starting on the day of the appointment at the Consulate. These documents are then mailed (FedEx Standard overnight $15). Expected delivery time can vary depending on the length and number of documents submitted.
